We have some excellant examples of intelligant thinking people....

Luke 1:1 "Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. ³Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, ⁴so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

The Bereans: Acts 17:11 "¹¹Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."

These are excellant examples of people wanting to know something was true and studying it out.

Any reasonable person should ask these questions, and more ...

• Is the Bible true?
• Is every part of the Bible true?
• To what degree is it true?
• What is important, the words or the concepts?
• Is the Bible inspired?
• What is meant by the Word of God?

People of true faith should not believe something just because they have been told that it is true.
